Oak Tree planting at Colony Heritage Center

December 15, 2022

ALPS volunteers planted three (3) Valley Oak trees at the Atascadeo Historical Society's Colony Heritage Center located next to the Library.

Every year ALPS Native Tree Committee (formerly ANTA) celebrates Arbor Day by finding a significant location to plant native trees.  As the Colony Heitage Center becomes a reality we noticed that many of the surrounding Valley Oak trees are in their last stages of life.  To ensure there will always be Valley Oaks to adorn the center we asked the historical society if we could plant on their site.
