ALPS Volunteers help with Creek Cleanup Day!

September 18, 2021

ALPS volunteers cleaned up trash within the two mile section of the Atascadero Creek from Curbaril Avenue out to the last bridge in the Three Bridges Oak Preserve area.

About 60 volunteers attended and cleaned up the remaining section of Atascadero Creek and a large area in the Salinas River.  Cleaning up the creeks and river remove trash and debris that can eventually flow down the river all the way to Monterey Bay and into the Pacific Ocean.

Many thanks to all the volunteers . . . and to the City of Atascadero and the Atascadero Mutual Water Company for sponsoring the event!

Tires, both big and small, that were removed from the Salinas River!
