Great workday at Stadium Lane!

November 16, 2019

Thirteen volunteer came to help clean up at the Bill Shepard Native Garden.  We accomplished a lot and the garden looks great!  We got a lot done:
1)  Removed dirt from along the garden trail and pack it back into the squirrel holes.
2)  Added mulch to many areas of the garden.
3)  Raked along the trail and along the entrance road up to 2nd pipe gate.
4)  Installed rocks at four turns: by the kiosk, at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd switchback turns.
5)  Removed and crushed all the dead poppy stems.
6)  Trimmed up the Live Oak Tree, the big Manzanita, the Buckwheat, and many other other plants that were crowding the trail.
7)  Picked up trash under overpass and around the garden.
Thanks to all that helped. It is appreciated by ALPS and the users of Stadium Park!
