ALPS awards scholarship

The 2025 recipient of the Geraldine Brasher Phemister Scholarship recipient is Colin O'Hern, a graduating senior at Atascadero High School. Colin will be attending Monatana State University this fall majoring in biological sciences with a focus on fish and wildlife biology and management.

Colin finds all wildlife and nature fascinating especially how various ecosystems interact with each other and how even the smallest component plays a vital role in maintaining its balance. He is especially interested in mountain lions and wants to learn more about them.

Colin will be the first in his family to attend college.
